About Cofton Greens

How it started
After losing my Dad suddenly a few years ago, I started running and eating healthy to help my mental & physical health. 

After some research, I discovered that eating fresh wholefoods within a plant based diet, is highly recommended and in particular, microgreens are pound for pound one of the healthiest wholefoods you can eat. But to get the full nutritional benefits, they must be fresh.
I couldn't find a local supplier of microgreens to buy from or any advice on how to eat them - so I decided to grow my own and create my own recipes. As a keen grower of food, massive foodie & with 25 years experience of running companies within the hydroponics industry, I decided to build my own vertical farm in my garden. After many months of trial and error, I eventually discovered how to grow high quality microgreens and how to incorporate them into my daily meals. I started to feel healthier than ever!

In addition to feeling healthy, after posting photo's on Instagram in October 2023, I was quickly contacted by local chefs and Cofton Greens was born. Since then, I have met some amazing people, made new friends, collaborated with high-end chefs and become a trusted supplier of microgreens to some of the best restaurants in South Birmingham - including Michelin starred restaurants.

I'm proud to say that our elite microgreens are sustainable, pesticide-free, fresh, artisan & hygienic, as well as highly nutritious and full of flavour. So I'm on a mission to spread the word about these amazing little superfoods and to help people understand how to eat them.

The growing climate is carefully controlled, ensuring consistent results, with every leaf as nutritious as it is delicious. We pride ourselves on delivering only the freshest produce. By aiming to deliver our microgreens within 24hrs of being harvested, we guarantee maximum flavour & texture.

 

Located in Cofton Hackett, we offer free weekly delivery to the South Birmingham area, bringing the finest freshly harvested microgreens direct to your door.
